The Adivasi Pawara dance:
The Adivasi Pawara dance, a tribal dance from Dhule the central district of Maharashtra. It is a traditional dance of aboriginal tribes called Adivasis. A stick and plate are used for rhythm. Dhol, a drum like instrument, is the main percussion used. This dance is distinguished as a socio-cultural feature of this tribe. The languages used are Ahirani and Adivasi.This video clip has been shot from the Nisagandhi festival held at Thiruvananthapuram in January 2008.
Tarpa dance:
Tarpa is an authentic form of folk dance that the tribal people of Dadra & Nagar Haveli practice and perform in their daily lives. It is one of the many kinds of folk dances that form an inseparable part the tribal life in the union territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli.
